The Story Behind Sherard university
It started with a family and a piece of property.
Sherard University was built on the belief that education should lead somewhere.
What began with the Sherard family's legacy of property ownership evolved into a larger vision: creating access to the knowledge, relationships, resources, and opportunities people need to move toward ownership of their own.
Where It Started
A grandfather.
A legacy.
A lesson in ownership.
Lanie grew up watching her grandfather build a life through property ownership.
What she saw wasn't just real estate. She saw stability. Opportunity. Something that could be passed down.
That lesson stayed with her.
The vision that became Holmes University grew from that belief: that learning about real estate should not be the end goal. Knowledge should give people the confidence and tools to make moves of their own.
Today, that vision continues through Sherard University.

Where It Started
Because knowing isn't the same as doing.
There is no shortage of real estate information.
There are courses. Books. Podcasts. Seminars. Social media.
What Holmes wanted to create was different.
A place where education connects to relationships, resources, action, and ultimately ownership.
That idea became Holmes University.
And it continues to shape everything built here.

And then we built beyond the classroom.
Education can show you what's possible. But sometimes the next step requires access to resources.
That's why the Sherard ecosystem extends beyond education. Sherard Impact Capital creates access to financing and real estate resources for qualified Sherard University students and alumni pursuing ownership.

The goal was never to build another school.
It was to build a pathway.
Learn something.
Meet someone.
Build something.
Own something.
Then make it possible for someone else.
